CNC Routing?  CNC Milling?  Where to begin?  These are

two endeavors that can quickly overwhelm you if you set out blindly.

Here at CNC Router Build we are going to give you a lot of basic

information on the topic and provide a path that you can follow to

get started.  Instead of trying to go from site to site searching all

over the web we have brought the information to one convenient place.

The goal is to take the complexity and the engineering degree out of this and present all of this information in a clear and easy to understand format.

We understand that there are hundreds of choices when it comes to nearly every component in this build.  We cannot show you every option in every category, from every company,  that would quickly overwhelm anyone.

We instead have researched all of the options available on the market and found solid performers in each of the categories that we know from experience and from reviews of others are quality products that will perform and make for any easy install and assembly as well as use.

The products that you choose have to work, they have to be easy to use, they have to be a good value for what you are paying for them, and they have to be backed up by a great warranty and great support.   It does not matter if you buy the best product on the market if you can’t figure out how to use it, and there is no support it’s worthless.

How this site works:

This website is structured in a format to make it easy to understand and follow.   That tabs at the top are the main categories and have the sub categories under them.   For example in the Components tab we have a subcategory for each of the components that make up setting up a CNC Router / Mill.  In the sub categories we break down the components and explain why we chose them, how they fit into the project and what to look for when selecting a component.

Under the build tab you have some background information and reference material as well as definitions to terms that are associated with CNC so that you can reference them and speak the lingo.

Also under the Build tab is the Build Progress sub category.  This is where we will be documenting the entire build from start to finish.   We will be building a CNC Router/Mill combo.   As stated before the components that we have chosen were chosen because of their quality, reliability, and customer support.   Your individual components may vary but the basic concepts should be very similar.

Under the Applications tab we are going to present practical uses for having a CNC Router / Mill we are going to show you what you can do once you have this running or why you might want to get one of these running.   When it comes to tools such as this you are limited only by your imagination.

If you have questions or suggestions please use the contact tab.   We will do the best we can to help you or get you to someone who can.

We hope you enjoy this project and find it useful.
