Have a Product You think we should be using
With our cnc plasma system we never had to worry about clamping or holding our work

We wanted to avoid a clamping system that required anymore tools, like extra wrenches and anything with parts. If your like us you can not remember where you set the wrench down last even though its right in front of you.
We were at the AWFS trade show and came across a few options for clamping our work to the table.
The two main options for clamping ore “tool clamps” and “vacuum clamps” as I said we wanted to avoid the tool clamps that required wrenches or multiple components which knocked most options out of contention.
We found the Automaxx clamps from Kreg Tools. These clams are like a smart version
of the traditional locking pliers. They have many mounting options including one
specifically designed for T-
There are occasions when your need to hold your material down but can not use a traditional clamp because you are milling the outside edges of the piece and a traditional clamp would be in the way.
That’s where Vacuum clamping comes into play. The large router tables often have vacuum clamping systems build into the table. For small budgets and for smaller bench and table top tables this is not usually an option. Luckily there are vacuum pods which are small Pods designed for small or large tables and make holding pieces on smaller tables possible.
We found the company VacuumPods at the AWFS show as well and really liked their products. They offer lots of options and configurations including low profile pods which are perfect for our table. The pods can be configured in many different options for different applications.
With vacuum clamping you need a few more components to make them working including a vacuum pump. The cost of putting together a vacuum clamping system is going to definitely be more expensive than traditional clamps but they are indispensable for certain operations.
